Mummies and Monkey's, oh my!

I am getting more into halloween as each year passes. I've never been a huge decorator of this holiday, and maybe never will. But today I did see a few ideas that really appealed! A candy corn motif and some painted pumpkins found HERE. What I am more excited about is my kids costumes!! I am really encouraging, since last year and forever more, that imagination and homemade is the way to go! They give me the idea and we'll work to accomplish it! With that..... Here is this years Cranmer crew.Evan is a Mummie. A sad one in these pictures, or did that come off as creepy? Evan wanted to be scary for halloween. These were taken after being woken up from falling asleepon the couch after school. Poor kid, I forced him to try the costume I worked all day on! It looks Easy but the pants had to have the bandages hand sewn on so that he can still go pee, if needs be! Vienna is a Bird! She was able to reuse her self designed body suit from her Fancy Nancy costume last year, as well as feather boa! Hip hooray!
Seger is a construction worker. The overalls are a pair of snow pants we had for Evan And the tools from the toy room! Easy peasy, and super cute!
Felix is a monkey courtesy of my Mom. Isn't he sweet! All the grand babies from this last batch in the fam. are being monkeys together. FUN!

Pheonix - Calgary Baby Photographer

This little girl is incredibly loved! Between Grandma, Mommy, and Aunt (not to mention 2 protective puppies) all living in the same house, I don't think this sweety ever touches an inanimate surface! Pheonix has that milky porcelain skin that I could edit for days. She is so alert and happy, the perfect baby! Enjoy your peek!

Yours and Mine - Mine and Yours

So being the photographer sometimes has a down fall. My kids unfortunately get last place sometimes. It was beautiful the day I did the school desk pics. However time and energy did not alot for my own children. And then shortly thereafter the weather turned and the fall colours faded quickly. SO my good friend Sharla, who also needed her children (Well I may have forced the NEED part) volunteered her home. She has a great blank front room! So off to Sharla's we went. There was curling of hair (my appliance broke that day), bribing of children, clothing changes, coaxing, wiping fake smiles off of kids faces, and lots of giggles and jumping! I am so glad we did this!! It's a different look, but that makes it kinda fun too. It reminds of these pics my family had done when I was Vienna's age, and that's special to me. Here are my BEAUTIFUL children, and Sharla's good looking crew too!
P.S. Look out for this one!!! Isn't she stunning!!! Julian you are in for a world of worry when this girl hits dating age! Just gotta say, super model!

Wife - Calgary Photographer

I think that every woman NEEDS to do this now! So often as Mom's we don't get any pictures of ourselves. Just us, ones that we like. Ones that will let us remember that we look pretty good when we were having our kids. I am going to do my pics for a date night. Kent and I are going to take pictures of one another and I can't wait to see how my husband captures me. I am available for a solo, or couple shoot anytime. Make it your date night. have pics to show your kids how in love you were when they were little. Or pre kids if your still thinking about delving into the Mommy gig. Joelle's husband just wanted a hot picture of his wife to put in his wallet! How sweet and romantic! Here is your peek Joelle enjoy!
